Tina M. Newhauser

Tina M. Newhauser is a Senior Academic Specialist in the Department of Theatre at Michigan State University's College of Arts and Letters, where she founded the Arts & Cultural Management undergraduate/graduate programs and the BFA in Stage Management launched in 2017. With 30+ years of professional theatre experience spanning regional productions, Broadway, corporate events, and academic leadership, she bridges industry practice with pedagogy.

Her expertise centers on Stage Management, Arts Management, and Theatre Production Management, with specialized focus on intimacy direction protocols, corporate event production, and facility operations. She developed curricula integrating real-world applications through partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and professional theatres, emphasizing safety standards and business acumen in arts administration.
