Colyn Fiendel

Colyn Fiendel serves as Lecturer of Theatre Design/Technology within the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Purchase College, State University of New York, bringing extensive professional experience from New York City's theatre industry directly into the academic environment.

His educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) earned at Purchase College, State University of New York. His professional expertise spans stage management for Broadway, Off-Broadway, and dance productions, along with corporate event show calling for major organizations including Verizon Wireless, NYU, The Entertainment Community Fund, and the American Cancer Society.

Fiendel's professional focus centers on practical theatre production methodologies, with recent Broadway credits including A Beautiful Noise, Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, The Lion King, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Bandstand. His work demonstrates specialized proficiency in live performance coordination, technical direction, and event execution across commercial and nonprofit sectors. Beyond professional engagements, he maintains a significant commitment to community service through Cheer New York, where he has volunteered since 2009 applying stage management skills to support LGBTQIA+ fundraising and event organization.
