Timothy Todd Anderson

Timothy Todd Anderson is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Minuteman Marching Band at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he has served since 2011. He also directs the Pep Band, Concert Band, and teaches courses in Marching Band Techniques and conducting.

• Bachelor of Music from the University of Iowa
• Master of Music in Wind Conducting from the University of Florida
• Doctorate of Education in Music Education from the University of Illinois

Dr. Anderson’s expertise spans music education, wind conducting, and community engagement through music. He actively works with student teachers and leads the Amherst Community Band during summers.

His leadership has taken the Minuteman Marching Band to international stages, including the 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade.

Dr. Anderson resides in Amherst, Massachusetts, with his wife Jennifer and cat Gatsby.
