Timothy Johnson is Horace T. Morse Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Law at the University of Minnesota. An expert on U.S. Supreme Court decision-making, he founded the Center for the Study of Political Psychology and examines judicial behavior, oral arguments, and executive-judiciary relations.
His research analyzes coalition formation in judicial decisions, the psychology of legal decision-making, and the Court's role during national crises. Notable publications include books on Supreme Court oral arguments and decision-making processes.
