Dr. Joshua Boston is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), part of the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on American legal and political institutions, particularly the federal judiciary, law and society, constitutional law, and judicial decision-making. He teaches courses such as American Government, Constitutional Law, and the U.S. Judicial System. His work examines topics like public approval of the Supreme Court, the impact of judicial scandals, and electoral influences on sentencing patterns.
Dr. Boston holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis and degrees from the University at Buffalo (SUNY). He has published in top journals including Political Communication, Political Research Quarterly, and Journal of Law and Courts. His research often addresses questions of judicial legitimacy, elite decision-making, and the intersection of identity with legal processes.
