Timothy Barnett

Dr. Timothy Barnett is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and Honorary Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute. He specializes in studying the disease mechanisms of Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A Streptococcus), focusing on molecular interactions with host cells, antibiotic resistance, and epidemiology. His work has significantly contributed to understanding sortase enzymes, stationary-phase gene expression, and immune evasion mechanisms.
