Timo Roßmann is a Researcher at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Goethe University Frankfurt, coordinating the ELLVIS project "Collaborative Anthropology" while pursuing his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Mirco Göpfert. His doctoral research examines collaboration in rare disease research, diagnostics, and treatment in Germany through ethnographic fieldwork.
His educational background includes:
- Sociology with minors in American Studies, Gender Studies, and Science and Technology Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt
Roßmann's research centers on Science and Technology Studies (STS), employing feminist STS and material semiotics frameworks including actor-network theory and new materialism. Key investigation areas:
- Knowledge Production: History of science, cultures of knowledge, information infrastructures, and classification/standardization practices
- Care Practices: Body regulation, health ecosystems, and ontological politics
- Security Production: Demography, epidemiology, and transnational administrative processes
