Prof. Dr. Timo Busch is a full professor (W3) at the School of Business, Economics and Social Science, University of Hamburg (Germany), and a Senior Collaborator at the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth, University of Zurich (Switzerland). He lectures at ETH Zurich and has taught at the Duisenberg School of Finance. His research focuses on low-carbon economy strategies, sustainable finance, and the business case for sustainability. He advises the German government on climate policies and is a Principal Investigator in the Cluster of Excellence CLICCS (Climate, Climatic Change, and Society).
- Education & Prior Roles: PhD candidate and postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich; project manager at Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, and Energy.
- Editorial Roles: Member of editorial boards for Organization & Environment, Journal of Business Ethics, and Business Strategy and the Environment.
Research & Impact: Explores business strategies for environmental sustainability, climate policy integration, and financial mechanisms for green economies. His global collaborations include research stays at institutions like UC Berkeley and Nanyang Business School. He contributed to the UN Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development.
