Tim Rood is Professor of Greek Literature and Tutorial Fellow in Classics at St Hugh's College, University of Oxford. His research examines Greek historiography and its modern receptions, with particular focus on ancient conceptions of time and space.
He leads the Leverhulme-funded 'Anachronism and Antiquity' project, exploring temporal disjunctions in historical interpretation. Current investigations include spatial narratives in ancient texts and comparative analyses of historical temporality.
