Tim Mead serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Health & Exercise Science within the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas. A dedicated advocate for healthy living, Dr. Mead brings extensive experience from seventeen years as a professor at Nicholls State University and prior teaching roles at the University of Toledo and Ohio State University. He has also coached and taught in numerous public and nonpublic school settings.

Research and Teaching
Dr. Mead's research expertise spans medical fitness and rehabilitation, physical activity pedagogy, and the impact of exercise on academic performance. He is a proponent of active learning, ensuring all his courses incorporate hands-on experiences. A former New York high school state tennis champion and participant in over 50 triathlons, he models an active lifestyle for his students through diverse activities including cross country skiing, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, weight lifting, and woodworking.
