Tim Retchford is a Part-Time Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the School of Allied Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences (Charles Sturt University). He holds a B Physio (Hons) and M Physio (Sports Physio) from the University of Melbourne and is pursuing a PhD on hip muscle function in hip pathology at the same institution.

His research focuses on improving exercise therapy specificity for hip pathology, with key interests in hip muscle function, femoroacetabular impingement, and musculoskeletal interactions. He has published extensively on these topics, including studies on muscle volume, fatty infiltration, and neural mobilization techniques.
Tim pioneered international clinical experiences for students, including programs in East Timor and Langkawi, Malaysia. He also maintains clinical practice in Mt Beauty, serving as Physiotherapist to the Australian Ski Team and treating elite athletes.
