Dr. Tim Maciag serves as an Assistant Professor in Software Systems Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Regina. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses focusing on people and community/humanity-centred technology design, with particular expertise in software project management methodologies including Agile, Design Thinking, and Lean approaches.
His research interests span several interconnected domains:

Dr. Maciag coordinates the Humanity-Centred Software (HCS) lab, which specifically focuses on UN Sustainable Development Goals #3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and #4 (Quality Education). His work explores the design of multi-modal healthcare technologies and course-integrated interactive learning activities that connect students with community initiatives.
