پژوهشگر · Exoplanetary Atmospheres
California Institute of Technology (Caltech)معرفی
Dr. Tiffany Kataria is a researcher affiliated with the Astrophysics & Space Sciences Division at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), with a focus on exoplanetary atmosphere dynamics. She is a member of the Star and Planet Formation group and leads the Habitable Worlds Observatory project.
Education:
- PhD in Planetary Sciences, University of Arizona (2014)
- BS in Astronomy/Planetary Science and Physics, State University of New York at Stony Brook (2009)
Research Interests: Dr. Kataria specializes in modeling atmospheric structures of exoplanets (e.g., super Earths and hot Jupiters) using general circulation models. Her work emphasizes the role of clouds and hazes in exoplanet atmospheres, leveraging data from HST, Spitzer, and future facilities like TESS, WFIRST, and JWST. She aims to bridge theoretical models with observational spectra to advance exoplanet characterization.
Labs/Teams: Involved in the Habitable Worlds Observatory, focusing on interdisciplinary exoplanet research.
