Thorsten Helbig

Thorsten Helbig serves as Professor of Structural Engineering, Building Materials Science and Constructive Design at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences since 2022, teaching Structural Engineering, Building Materials in Context, and Principles of Structural Structures. Previously, he was Associate Professor at Cooper Union's Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture (2018) and co-founded the international engineering firm knippershelbig in 2001, now operating from Stuttgart, Berlin, and New York.
