Thoralf Dassler is a Senior Lecturer in Management and Marketing at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster. He holds a PhD from Aston University (2004), an MSc in Business Research from Birmingham University, and a Dipl-Wirtsch.-Ing (German engineering degree). Prior roles include Research Fellow positions at Cranfield School of Management and Queen Margaret University, followed by a Lecturer B role at Salford Business School.

Research Interests: Focuses on strategic frameworks for government intervention in competitive markets, barriers to entry in industries with migrant-owned businesses, and value creation via resource-based firm analysis. Current work explores alignment of internal/external firm environments and resource deployment metrics.
Teaching: Leads Strategic Management modules for MBA/executive programs, MA/PG levels, and teaches International Business/Strategic Perspectives at undergraduate level. Contributed to an AMBA-accredited MBA Strategy module.
Professional Practice: Conducted KTP research on healthcare provision reforms and ESF-funded studies on migrant businesses in Scotland. Serves as Executive Committee Member of the Association for Heterodox Economics and is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
Labs/Teams: Engaged in cross-disciplinary projects linking public policy with strategic business frameworks.
