Dr Mahmoud Alajaty is an Assistant Professor in Strategy and International Business at the Department of Strategy and International Business, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. He is also the Department Senior Tutor and Dubai Flying Faculty, contributing to programs in Dubai and Singapore. He serves as an External Examiner for the MBA programs at Nottingham Business School and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

He has taught in the UK, Hong Kong, and Dubai, and currently leads modules such as Global Shift, Cross Cultural Management, and Strategic Management in international campuses.
His recent publications explore themes like gender divides in digital entrepreneurship, internationalization speed of emerging market firms, aviation hubs in the Middle East, and institutional reform in Syria. These works appear in journals such as Strategy & Leadership, Journal of International Management, and Journal of Aerospace Technology and Management, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary and globally relevant research agenda.
