Thomas Weber is Professor of History and International Affairs at the University of Aberdeen, where he also founded the Centre of Global Security and Governance. He holds affiliations as a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, Associate Fellow at the University of Bonn's Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies, and Senior Associate at the University of Toronto's Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies.

- Key Research Interests: Authoritarian populism, democracy threats, 19th–21st century conflict resolution, politicization processes, and historical injustices' modern impact
His publications include award-winning works such as Lodz Ghetto Album (Golden Light & Infinity Awards), Our Friend “The Enemy” (Duc d’Arenberg History Prize), Hitler’s First War (Arthur Goodzeit Book Award), and the shortlisted Becoming Hitler (Elizabeth Longford Prize). Weber frequently contributes to global media on historical and contemporary international affairs.
