Thomas Walther

Dr. Thomas Walther is a Reader in Advanced Electron Microscopy at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Sheffield. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from RWTH Aachen (1993) and a PhD in materials science from the University of Cambridge (1997). His career includes postdoctoral positions in France and Germany, followed by a role as assistant professor in Bonn's chemistry department before joining Sheffield in 2006 as Senior Lecturer, advancing to Reader in 2010.
