Dr. Thomas W. Zugger serves as Associate Professor of Trombone and Euphonium at Capital University's Conservatory of Music, a position he has held since 1998. He maintains an active international career as a performer, educator, and composer while serving as principal trombone for the Newark/Granville Symphony and performing with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and touring Broadway productions.
His educational background includes:

His compositions are regularly performed internationally and featured at major associations including the International Trombone Association and International Clarinet Association conventions.

Dr. Zugger actively contributes to the brass community through ensemble work with the Newark/Granville Symphony, Ashland and Mansfield symphonies, and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, while serving on the International Trombone Association’s Press Board and literature review committee.
