Thomas Tso serves as a full-time Professorial Lecturer at The George Washington University Law School, bringing extensive practical legal experience to his academic role. He holds a BA from Princeton University and a JD from Harvard University.
His professional expertise centers on complex federal labor litigation, specifically:
- Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) enforcement
- Appellate strategy for Supreme Court cases
- Amicus curiae briefing procedures
- Department of Labor regulatory frameworks
Mr. Tso clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit before spending twelve years at the Department of Labor, where he managed ERISA appellate programs and supervised over 50 briefs—including contributions to six Supreme Court cases. His recent service as Senior Counsel to the Solicitor of Labor and White House Leadership Development Fellow demonstrates ongoing engagement with high-level federal legal policy.
