Thomas Trendowski

Thomas Trendowski is Associate Professor and Program Director for Health & Physical Education at UNC-Pembroke. With a PhD from University of Illinois, his research examines faculty socialization and K-12 teaching challenges. He directs undergraduate and MAT programs leading to K-12 teaching licensure.

• Teacher preparation methodologies
• Professional socialization in education
• Pedagogical approaches in kinesiology

Trendowski maintains an active outreach program, including physical education classes for homeschool students. He regularly presents at NC SHAPE conferences with student collaborators.
