Thomas S. Wright is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Temple University's Lew Klein College of Media and Communication. He serves as Assistant Chair and course director of the Public Speaking program, while actively participating in university governance through the Temple University Faculty Senate and General Education Executive Committee. Wright also acts as faculty advisor for Lambda Pi Eta, the student honors organization.

His research focuses on communication theory (particularly phenomenology and postmodern theory), identity construction, political communication, and social movement rhetoric. He has explored how media frames public health emergencies through studies like his 2019 analysis of Ebola coverage in US newspapers.
