Kristine T Weatherston is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Media Studies and Production at Temple University's Lew Klein College of Media and Communication. She joined Temple in 2012 after a 20-year career in media production, working with broadcast networks, cable outlets, and independent filmmakers. Her work bridges documentary filmmaking, scriptwriting, and pedagogy, with a focus on women's health advocacy through media.

Research Interests:
Kristine's creative scholarship centers on documentary production as a tool for social advocacy, particularly in women's health (e.g., her film Under Pressure: The Hidden Story of Pregnancy and Preeclampsia). She also explores scriptwriting pedagogy, genre studies in television, and innovative approaches to asynchronous media education. Her research consistently intersects media practice with health communication and equity.

She regularly presents at BEA and UFVA conferences on scriptwriting techniques and documentary ethics.
