Thomas Murray is an Associate Professor in the Division of Biostatistics & Health Data Science at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. His methodological research focuses on Bayesian modeling, clinical trial design, and optimizing dynamic treatment regimes, with applications in cancer, diabetes, and mental health.
- Education: PhD and MS in Biostatistics from University of Minnesota School of Public Health, BS in Mathematics and Sociology from University of Wisconsin-Madison, Postdoctoral Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Research Interests: Incorporating historical data into clinical trials, utility-based trial designs for multi-outcome studies, and Bayesian methods for dynamic treatment optimization. Applied work spans cancer management, metabolic diseases, and behavioral health.
