Thierry Chekouo, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Medtronic Faculty Fellow at the University of Minnesota, affiliated with the Division of Biostatistics & Health Data Science. His work focuses on statistical frameworks for high-dimensional and complex datasets, particularly in genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data analysis.
- Education: PhD in Statistics from Université de Montréal (2013), MS in Statistics and Economics from National Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics, Côte d’Ivoire (2007), MSc in Mathematics from Université de Yaounde I (2004), BS in Mathematics from Université de Yaounde I (2001)
His research emphasizes Bayesian methods, variable selection, clustering, functional data analysis, and integrative models combining biological knowledge for clinical prediction. He also contributes to software development in these areas.
