Thomas Martin Møller Burø is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Engineering Technology and Didactics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on organizing, activism, and philosophy, employing qualitative methods such as ethnography, interviews, and observation studies.
Research interests include CrossFit culture safety mechanisms, role models in tech entrepreneurship, diversity in technology ecosystems, and social movements addressing white supremacy. His work intersects organizational behavior, gender studies, and technology's societal impact.
Recent publications analyze CrossFit’s cultural safety, strategies for gender diversity in tech entrepreneurship, and diversity initiatives in Danish tech industries. His articles often blend empirical case studies with theoretical frameworks.
Burø has supervised projects like CULTURAL MAPPING OF OFFICE ENVIRONMENTS and Pitch Perfect, and co-led the Divserity in Technology initiative (2022–2026). He organized the 41st European Group of Organization Studies Colloquium and presented at conferences like The unifying myth of the capable tech ecosystem (2023).
