Thomas Madeja teaches applied trumpet and serves as a MECA instructor at VanderCook College of Music. He founded and directs The Chicago Metamorphosis Orchestra Project (ChiMOP), empowering youth through music education on Chicago's west side. Additionally, he directs the New Horizons Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble at DePaul University's Community Music Division.
His work focuses on creating intensive music learning opportunities for underserved communities and developing creative performance ensembles. Madeja maintains an active performance schedule with jazz and Latin music artists.
