Thomas M. Gill is the Humana Foundation Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Yale University and holds concurrent appointments as Professor of Epidemiology (Chronic Diseases) and Investigative Medicine. He directs the Yale Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center, the Yale Program on Aging, and the Yale Center for Disability and Disabling Disorders. His research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of disability in older adults, particularly through longitudinal studies like the Yale Precipitating Events Project (PEP) and the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS).
