معرفی
Thomas Lippert is an Adjunct Professor at ETH Zurich's Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences and Head of the Thin Films and Interfaces Group at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland. His research focuses on functional materials, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), and renewable energy applications, particularly in thin films and photoelectrochemical systems. He holds a Doctor honoris causa from the University of Bucarest and has led international collaborations through roles like President of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS).
Education:
- PhD in Chemistry (1993) from University of Bayreuth, Germany
- Adjunct Professor appointment at ETH Zurich (2013)
- Habilitation in Physical Chemistry (2002), ETH Zurich
Research Interests: Thomas Lippert’s work spans thin film deposition, laser-material interactions, and energy materials. His lab explores novel oxynitride photocatalysts and high-entropy materials for CO₂ conversion. He applies techniques like PLD and advanced spectroscopy to study material properties and energy applications.
Grants & Awards: Over CHF 7.7M as PI and CHF 4.6M as Co-PI. Notable accolades include the Foreign Expert Fellowship (China, 2022), Director’s Postdoctoral Fellowship (Los Alamos, 1995–1998), and multiple visiting scholar positions in Japan.
Labs & Teams: Leads the Multiscale Materials Experiments (LMX) group at PSI and collaborates with Kyushu University’s I²CNER on molecular photoconversion devices. His work bridges chemistry, physics, and engineering, emphasizing interdisciplinary innovation.
