Thomas Fischer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Lund University, Sweden. His research focuses on heterogeneous agent models, income/wealth inequality, financial stability, climate finance, and credit rating agencies. He teaches finance and macroeconomics at the Bachelor and Master levels and supervises theses. Fischer’s work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to reducing inequality and promoting sustainable economic practices.
His recent research explores topics such as spatial inequality in China’s housing markets, green investment portfolios, and the impact of peer relationships on student outcomes. He has collaborated on projects addressing gender income inequality, industrial decarbonization, and sustainable investment strategies.
