Thomas Duus Henriksen is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Communication and Psychology within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. As a business psychologist and researcher, his work focuses on organizational and human resource development, particularly through learning games and business simulators. He holds a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD focused on action learning methodologies.
Henriksen's research explores organizational psychology, game-based learning, leadership development, and business simulation. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications for SMEs, examining how experiential learning can drive competitive advantage and organizational change.
Henriksen's publications consistently address leadership paradoxes, organizational learning, and human resource development. Recent work examines pandemic-related workplace adaptations and digital transformation challenges. His methodological approaches combine quantitative analysis with design-based research to address complex managerial problems.
Henriksen directs the Center for Applied Game Research and leads projects on post-COVID human resource development. He maintains research collaborations across Europe and contributes to academic initiatives including the 'Master in Trivsel og Psykologisk Velfærd' working group.
