معرفی
Thomas Chust is a CNRS Researcher affiliated with the Plasma Physics Laboratory (LPP) at Ecole Polytechnique and Sorbonne University. His research focuses on experimental and theoretical studies of natural plasmas in the solar system, including dissipative processes in non-collisional plasmas, electromagnetic coupling between Jupiter and its satellites, and wave-particle interactions. He collaborates on space missions such as Freja, Cluster, THEMIS, and MMS, and serves as a Co-Investigator on the Solar Orbiter (2020) and JUICE (2023) missions. He leads the analysis of the LFR instrument on Solar Orbiter's RPW consortium and contributes to the SCM magnetometer on JUICE's RPWI consortium.
His work spans plasma physics, space instrumentation development, and data analysis. He holds offices at both Ecole Polytechnique (Building 412, Office 1014) and Sorbonne University (Jussieu Campus, Office 508). His research integrates theoretical models, space probe data interpretation, and instrument design for understanding plasma dynamics in planetary magnetospheres and interplanetary environments.
