- Research Interests: Applied econometrics, time series forecasting (especially seasonal models), financial modeling, marketing research, social network impacts on child food insecurity (with Hunger Center Grant), predictive analytics for crime prevention (with Dallas Police Department and SMU Computer Science Department), epidemiological data analysis using count/panel models (with University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center), economic growth after natural disasters (with World Bank), and multivariate copulas for financial return dependence (with Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas)
- Editorial Roles: Senior Co-Editor of Advances in Econometrics since 1986; Research Associate with Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas since 1982
