Thibault CHARPENTIER is a Researcher at the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), affiliated with the Nanosciences and Innovation for Materials, Biomedicine, and Energy (NIMBE) division and the Structure and Dynamics by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory (LSDRM). He has held this position since 1998 and was promoted to CEA Research Director in 2018.

- Ph.D. (1995-1998) from Université d’Orsay (Paris XI) with a dissertation on High-Resolution NMR of Quadrupolar Nuclei in Solids
- Master 2 in Quantum Physics (1993-1994) from Paris VI / ENS Ulm
- ESPCI Paris (1990-1994)
- Research: Specializes in Solid-State NMR of Glasses, DFT Computation in NMR, and Molecular Dynamics simulations of glasses, particularly for Nuclear Waste Materials Studies and Tritium MAS NMR. Pioneered the first MAS NMR experiments on radioactive glasses and developed the fpNMR tool for NMR data processing.
