Theresa Harada

Dr. Theresa Harada is a Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) within the Business School. She holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Wollongong, complemented by degrees in Science Education, Law, and additional qualifications in teaching. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on climate change, sustainability, energy transitions, and equity-driven social practices, employing innovative methodologies like ethnography and creative praxis. Recent studies explore platformization's impact on gambling behaviors, energy consumption in households, and disability activism through art.

Research Interests: Dr. Harada investigates how knowledge about climate change influences domestic and transportation practices, emphasizing equity and social justice. Her work bridges human geography with disciplines like engineering, neuroscience, and law. She advocates for methodological innovation, including mobile methods and co-production approaches to empower marginalized voices.
