Dr. Theodore Andreadis is a Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Public Health in the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases department. He also holds an Adjunct Professor appointment at the University of Connecticut's Department of Pathobiology. As Director of The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station and Head of the Center for Vector Biology & Zoonotic Diseases, he leads comprehensive research programs on mosquito-borne diseases and vector ecology.
- Education:
- PhD in Insect Pathology, University of Florida (1978)
- MS in Medical Entomology, University of Massachusetts (1975)

Dr. Andreadis's research focuses on mosquito ecology, microbial vector control, and epidemiology of mosquito-borne diseases. His work spans arbovirus transmission dynamics, vector surveillance systems, and environmental drivers of vector-borne diseases, with a strong emphasis on public health applications and zoonotic disease prevention.
His publication record includes over 195 scientific articles, with recent work analyzing mosquito feeding behavior, vector control program effectiveness, and environmental determinants of vector distribution. Collaborations include researchers at Yale, University of Florida, and public health agencies, with key contributions to West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, and La Crosse Virus epidemiology.
