Theo Jones is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Ravensbourne University London, where he combines academic teaching with architectural practice. He is the director of Fynn Architects, specializing in sustainable architecture and interiors, and founder of Green Mat Workshop, which focuses on architectural education. His work emphasizes low-energy designs, heritage integration, and scalable retrofit solutions. Jones holds a BA and MArch from Oxford Brookes University and The Bartlett School of Architecture.
Research interests include sustainable materials, digital fabrication, and the intersection of architecture with internet technologies, identity, and urban borders. His practice-based research seeks practical solutions for low-carbon construction in the UK. Jones has exhibited at RIBA, New London Architecture, and Open House London, and lectures at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts and the London Festival of Architecture.
Awarded the 2019 RIBA Journal Drawing Prize, his work has been featured in Designboom, Bustler, and the RIBA Journal. He actively engages in knowledge exchange through workshops and online courses via Green Mat Workshop, supporting student designers in model making and visualization.
