Darren Farrell

Darren Farrell is a Lecturer in BA Interior and Spatial Design at Camberwell College of Arts. His professional background spans architecture, interior design, graphic design, and pedagogy, with training from the Royal College of Art, Ravensbourne, Central Saint Martins, and London College of Fashion. He has taught at institutions including the Bartlett School of Architecture, Ravensbourne, and London College of Communication.

Farrell's research focuses on the synaesthetic qualities of built environments, exploring sensory experiences through design. He coordinates construction/technology site visits for Year 2 students and contributes to Year 3 History and Theory units, alongside co-teaching the DRS4 design research studio. His professional experience includes roles at Volume 3 Architects, Desitecture, Paul Daly Design Studio, and Building Doctors.

With a decade at Camberwell College of Arts, he integrates practical industry knowledge into academic instruction, emphasizing design practice and precedent analysis.
