Thalia Brero is a Full Professor of Medieval and Renaissance History at the University of Neuchâtel's Institute of History since August 2021. She earned her PhD in Medieval History from the University of Lausanne in 2013, following a senior lecturer position at Geneva's Maison de l'histoire (2015-2021) and visiting research roles at Paris-Est Créteil (2009-2010) and Ghent (2018-2020).
- Research Pillars: Historical anthropology of courts, international relations history (Hundred Years' War-Italian Wars), time perception studies (1348-1648), political communication, and intersections between scholarly/popular culture across centuries.
- Current Projects: Co-director of SNSF Sinergia project Capturing the Present (2024-present) and Neuchâtel division of History and City Festival (2023-present).
- Publications: Author of 8 monographs and 12 peer-reviewed articles focusing on Savoy/ Burgundy court rituals, chivalric orders, and modern historical representation.
- Methodology: Combines archival analysis with interdisciplinary approaches to ceremonial documentation and cross-border cultural exchange.
