Tanguy Racine serves as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Hydrogeology and Geothermal Energy (CHYN) within the Faculty of Science at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. His research focuses on karst systems through high-resolution LiDAR mobile scanning to characterize conduit geometry, develop 3D cave models, and produce hydrological cartographic products.
Holding a PhD from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, Racine investigated paleoclimatic signals in Alpine subsurface ice using chronological modeling and climate proxy analysis of layered glacial deposits. His expertise spans stable isotope geochemistry, chronostratigraphy, and speleothem-based paleoclimatology, with current projects quantifying geometric properties of karst conduits to understand flow and transport dynamics.
Affiliated with the Stochastic Hydrogeology and Geostatistics research group, he teaches 'Analysis and Modeling of Environmental Systems' and 'Geosciences and Sustainability: life, water, energy, climate'. His office is located at CHYN (Rue Emile-Argand 11, Neuchâtel), with contact via email tanguy.racine@unine.ch or phone +41 78 257 33 52.
