Dr. Tess Little is a historian and writer affiliated with All Souls College, University of Oxford. She holds the Fifty-Pound Fellowship since 2022 and previously served as an Examination Fellow at All Souls (2014–2021). Her research focuses on 20th-century cultural, social, and political history, with specializations in feminist, gender, and women’s history, as well as oral history methodologies. She completed her doctoral thesis on the transnational links of the 1960s–70s women’s liberation movements in the US, UK, and France, involving archival research and life history interviews with activists.
Education includes a BA, MPhil, and DPhil, with undergraduate studies at Somerville College (2010–2013) and postgraduate work at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge (2013–2014). Her research awards include the Cambridge History Faculty Member's Prize (2014), Mary Somerville Award (2013), and Barraclough Scholarship (2012). She authored the novel The Ninth Guest (2020), published as The Last Guest in North America.
Her ongoing work includes compiling interviews from her doctoral research for archival preservation at the British Library. No formal academic advising roles or lab affiliations are noted.
