Tess Legg is a Researcher at the University of Bath's Department for Health, affiliated with the Tobacco Control Research Group (TCRG) and the Centre for 21st Century Public Health. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from TCRG and the Centre for Qualitative Research. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being.
Legg's research focuses on tobacco industry activities, conflicts of interest in science, and corporate influence on public health policies. She employs documentary analysis and experimental survey methods to investigate how industries shape scientific discourse and policy outcomes. Recent projects include examining framing strategies of tobacco companies under new UK legislation and analyzing the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World's scientific activities.
