Terry Conrad

Terry Conrad is Associate Professor of Printmaking at the University of Iowa School of Art and Art History. He holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and creates interdisciplinary work bridging printmaking, instrument design, and scientific inquiry.

His NSF-supported research develops art-science collaborations with oceanographers, creating prints and instruments inspired by deep-sea exploration. Current projects visualize microbial life forms discovered on oceanographic expeditions. He co-founded the Round Lake School preschool/artist residency program based on Reggio Emilia educational principles.

Professor Conrad's work has been exhibited internationally with residencies at Frans Masereel Centrum and Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency. Teaching includes print media techniques, interdisciplinary collaboration, and graduate mentorship.
