Terje Andreas Eikemo is a Professor at the Department of Sociology and Political Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and Head of the CHAIN research center. His work focuses on the intersection of social inequality, public health, and global policy, emphasizing how socioeconomic factors like education, income, and welfare systems influence mortality, chronic diseases, and mental health. He combines theories from sociology, epidemiology, and medicine to address health disparities across diverse contexts, including pandemics, climate change, and migration.
