Teresa Jakovich serves as a Lecturer at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Edith Cowan University, teaching core units in the Bachelor of Performing Arts program including Performer Training One and Two, Advanced Performer Training, Acting for Camera, and Theatre Production 2 at the Mount Lawley campus.

Her scholarly focus integrates Performing Arts pedagogy with professional practice across Acting techniques, Theatre production, Drama Education, Classical Theatre (particularly Shakespearean performance), and Screen Acting. This interdisciplinary approach bridges academic teaching with real-world stage and screen experience to develop innovative performance training methodologies.
Professional Profile
Since graduating from WAAPA in 2007, Teresa has maintained an active dual career as performer and educator. As a core Bell Shakespeare member (2011-2018), she served as Performer, Director, Dramaturg, Educator, and Resident Artist (2015-2018). Her extensive stage credits include Black Swan Theatre Co.'s The Tempest (Sebastia) and Toast, Sport For Jove's Julius Caesar (Portia) and Twelfth Night, and CDP's international The Incredible Book Eating Boy tour. Television appearances span All Saints, Rescue Special Ops, ABC's Laid, and SBS's Old War. She has developed national education programs for theatre companies since 2016 while maintaining her academic position.
