Dr. Tempe Adams is a Research Coordinator at Elephants Without Borders (EWB) and affiliated with the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). She holds a PhD in Biology from UNSW, completed in collaboration with EWB. Her work focuses on human-wildlife coexistence, including developing elephant deterrent strategies, monitoring wildlife corridors, and stakeholder engagement in Botswana. She co-supervises PhD students at the Centre for Ecosystem Science, exploring herbivore ecology in the Okavango Delta.
Education: BSc (Honours) and PhD in Environmental Science and Biology from UNSW.
Research interests include mitigating human-elephant conflict, urban and agricultural wildlife pathways, and community education for wildlife coexistence. She contributes to interdisciplinary programs like the BIOS6723 course, which offers fieldwork in the Okavango Delta.
Labs/Teams: Active with Elephants Without Borders and the UNSW Centre for Ecosystem Science.
