Teku T. Teku

Teku T. Teku is a Cameroonian academic and professional with extensive experience in education, intercultural communication, and development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology from the University of Yaoundé, postgraduate diplomas in social psychology and guidance from the University of Yaoundé I, and a Master of Education from the University of Buea. He served as an instructor at the Faculty of Education, teaching courses like social psychology and child psychology. His research focuses on intercultural communication, multiculturalism, and social justice in global education contexts.

As a guest editor of FRONTIERS: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad, Teku has collaborated extensively on research related to intercultural communication and globalization. His professional roles include sub-director at the Cameroon Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, where he designed courses on climate change and agricultural sustainability. He also served as program director for Dickinson College’s study abroad program in Cameroon for 17 years, guiding over 400 U.S. students through academic field trips to rural areas, rainforests, and conservation zones. This role involved attending international conferences in the U.S., France, and Spain, including the 2022 Forum on Education Abroad in Chicago.

Teku’s work extends to peace-building and development studies, notably through seminars in Cameroon and Morocco. He currently serves as Administrative Director (Cameroon) for SIT Study Abroad’s Development and Social Change program.
