Dr. Ariane Ngabeu is an Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Howard University's Department of World Languages & Cultures. She holds a Ph.D. from Boston University and degrees from the University of Yaoundé I. Her research focuses on African literature/cinema, gender studies, postcolonial theory, digital media, and memory studies. She previously directed Middlebury College's Cameroon study abroad program (2012–2023), leading immersive language and cultural programs.

Her current research examines how digital cinema/video/film drive social change in Cameroon. Major works include Les Enjeux de la modernité dans le roman africain au féminin (2021) and contributions to Le Dictionnaire universel des femmes créatrices. She teaches courses on advanced French grammar, oral expression, and Francophone humanities.
Publications span themes like gender migration, postcolonial narratives, and cultural identity. Awards include a 5-year Boston U Presidential Fellowship.
