Teasel Muir-Harmony is a historian of spaceflight and the curator of the Apollo Collection at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. She also serves as an Affiliate Adjunct Instructor at Georgetown University.
- Education: Ph.D. in History from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), M.A. in History from the University of Notre Dame, and B.A. in Philosophy from St John's College.
Her research explores the political dimensions of lunar exploration, focusing on topics such as lunar governance, spaceflight as a tool of soft power, and the intersection of Cold War geopolitics with aerospace history. She has contributed extensively to public discourse on space history through media features and advisory roles.
Her notable publications include the books Operation Moonglow: A Political History of Project Apollo (2020) and Apollo to the Moon: A History in 50 Objects (2018), which analyze the cultural and political significance of the Apollo missions.
