Nikhil Menon is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in modern South Asia and 20th-century Indian intellectual/political history. He is a Faculty Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies.

His research explores the intersection of technology, economic planning, and Cold War geopolitics in postcolonial India. Key works include Planning Democracy (2022), which won the Joseph W. Elder Prize, and articles on India's early computing history.
